Day 1: Entebbe /Kampala – Bwindi Gorilla Tour
Meet and greet our tour guide at Entebbe International Airport for a safari briefing session then depart to Bwindi, with en-route lunch in Mbarara town. Proceed through the beautiful country, Arrive in Bwindi National Park late evening for dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp, or Wagtail Eco Safari camp
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Wake up early for breakfast. With your packed lunch, water, and tracking gear among others,
Move to the park headquarters for a briefing by 08:00 am. You will be equipped with trekkers’ codes and conduct while with the humble, intelligent, and dramatic giants- the mountain gorillas. The time taken while searching for the mountain gorillas ranges between 2 to 7 hours. For conservation purposes, you will only be given one hour. Gorilla tracking is one activity that is worth visiting, it’s one thing that can force you to reach and experience the beauty of Bwindi by tracking through the tropical rainforest. On the way to or from the forest, also, expect to view other primate species like black-and-white colobus and L’Hoes’t monkeys, baboons, and chimpanzees in addition to forest elephants and several species of antelopes, butterfly species exposing beautiful and unique colors among others. Return to your lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
After morning breakfast, we shall sadly return to Kampala with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. We will have stopovers; in Mbarara for en-route lunch and at the craft village at the equator for photos, educative talks, and shopping, Reach Kampala for dinner, and overnight stay at Hotel Africana or Holiday Express or Kampala Serena Hotel.
Day 4: Transfer to Jinja -Whitewater Rafting safari
Enjoy your breakfast and embark on the scenic journey to Jinja through the largest tropical forest in Uganda (Mabira), Sugar, and tea plantations. You will reach in time for your safety briefing about your rafting adventure safari, given life jackets and helmets and each group will be equipped with the tactics before you navigate your way down the river. Expect both the action of thrilling whitewater and the tranquility of drifting silently through rapids. So while you are guaranteed to get wet you also have the chance to be absorbed by the sounds of the rapids. Thereafter, have a picnic lunch and return to Kampala for dinner and overnight at your hotel or transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
