Paraa Safari Lodge was established in 1954 in Murchison Falls National Park found in the northwestern part of the country. Game drives safaris
Murchison Falls National Park is one of the best parks in the country from where you can do a game drive and get a chance to see a variety of wildlife is the home to over 76 different species of mammals and is also known to have the largest population of Nile crocodiles in the country.
In the park game drive is done in the morning, evening, and at night. An early morning game drives reward you with the view of the early raisers like predators and so on while returning to their hiding places. Alongside morning game drives, there is also afternoon and night game drives through the park which rewards visitors to view the African wildlife like elephant, buffalo, giraffe, Jackson’s hartebeest, and oribi. With luck, lions and perhaps even a leopard may be sighted.
Boat cruise on River Nile
Boat cruise along River Nile is one of the highlights of a safari in Murchison Falls National Park, the cruise is 3 hours ride on River Nile up to the bottom of the falls, the cruise offers the view of different water-loving birds, and a variety of animals coming to drink water on the bank of the river. The boat cruise in Murchison Falls National Park always takes place in the morning at 9:00 a.m. and in the afternoon at 2:00 a.m. and they both take a maximum of 3 hours.
